Each trip a submittal makes through review is a revision. A package that came back Revise & Resubmit and went round again keeps both trips, with the earlier stamp and its comments intact.

See the revisions

Open the submittal and click the Revisions tab. Each trip shows its revision number, its stamp (or Out for review), when it was sent and returned, when it was due back, and the reviewer.

Resubmit

When the latest stamp is Revise & Resubmit or Rejected:

  1. Attach the revised package to the submittal.
  2. On the Revisions tab, under Send it round again, set the Sent and Required back dates.
  3. Choose the Reviewer, or leave it as Same as last time.
  4. Click Resubmit.

The submittal opens a new revision, e.g. from #262416-7.0 to #262416-7.1, its stamp goes back to Pending, and it's Open again. The message Resubmitted as revision … The earlier trip and its comments are still on the record. appears.

Important

Resubmitting doesn't reset the approval workflow or email anyone. The steps keep their earlier responses. To have reviewers stamp the new revision, revert the steps that need answering again, or add new steps, from the Approval Workflow card. See Set up the approval workflow.

Good to know

  • Only a knocked-back submittal can be resubmitted. Otherwise the Send it round again box isn't shown.
  • A submittal still out for review can't be resubmitted yet.
  • The Attachments card shows which revision each file was added at.
