You change a meeting's details one at a time, right where they're shown. There's no separate edit page.
- Open the meeting. Its Details tab is first.
- Click the value you want to change. A pencil appears when you point at a value you can change.
- Change it:
- Type, Location and Chair save as soon as you pick a new value.
- Date saves a moment after you pick a day from the calendar. If you type the date, it saves about a second after you stop typing. Press Enter to save it straight away.
- Start, Duration, Title and Purpose show Save and Cancel. Press Enter to save a one-line value, or Ctrl+Enter (⌘+Enter on a Mac) to save the purpose.
- Press Esc or click Cancel to leave a field without changing it.
Date and start time are separate
Date and Start are the two halves of when the meeting is held, and each is changed on its own:
- Changing the Date moves the meeting to another day at the same start time.
- Changing Start moves it to another time on the same day.
The start is shown as a time range, using the meeting's Duration.
Good to know
- The status isn't edited here. Use Move to and Update status under the details. See Change a meeting's status.
- The meeting number can't be changed.
- Title, Date and Start can't be blank. Clearing Duration or any other value just leaves it empty.
- Every change is on the record. Each save that changes something adds a Details changed entry to the meeting's History tab, saying what changed, for example "Duration: 60 minutes → 90 minutes". Saving the same value again records nothing.
- If a change can't be saved, the box stays open and says why underneath.
- Without Write access to meetings, the values are plain text with nothing to click.
