Permission neededMeetings — Write

A follow-up meeting picks up where the last one left off. You can call one once a meeting's minutes are recorded, that is, once its status is Minutes.

  1. Open the minuted meeting.
  2. Click Follow-Up Meeting at the top of the page.
  3. In Create follow-up meeting, check the Title, Date and Start. The title starts as this meeting's title, and the date as one week later.
  4. Check what will be carried forward: the dialog says how many open agenda items and attendees go with it.
  5. Click Create follow-up meeting.

The new meeting opens at its Agenda tab, as a Draft.

What the new meeting gets

  • This meeting's type, location, duration and chair, and the title you chose.
  • Every agenda item still open, with its title, agenda, owner and due date. The earlier minutes and decision are shown on each item as read-only blocks, and its own minutes and decision start empty. Each item links back to where it came from.
  • Every attendee, with their role, and attendance reset to Pending.

It doesn't get this meeting's purpose, its closed items, or its files.

What happens to this meeting

Its open items are marked Carried forward, with a link to the meeting they continue in (Continued in Meeting #… →). Everything else about it stays as it was.

Good to know

  • Close the items that are finished first. Only items still Open are carried forward.
  • If you don't see Follow-Up Meeting, the meeting isn't in Minutes yet, or you have Read access only. See Change a meeting's status.
