Set up meeting templates

Give a recurring meeting a standing agenda, for every project or for one project, so new meetings start with it.

A template is a standing agenda: a name, a default meeting type, and a list of agenda items. When someone creates a meeting from it, the meeting starts with those items. A template never carries attendees or dates; those belong to each meeting.

There are two kinds:

  • Workspace templates are offered on every project. They're kept under company Settings.
  • Project templates are offered only on their own project. They're kept on the project's meetings.

Find the templates

  • For every project: go to Settings and open Meeting templates.
  • For one project: open the project's Meetings and click Templates. The page lists the workspace's templates first, read-only, then This project's templates.

Create a template

  1. Click New template.
  2. Enter a Name, e.g. "Weekly OAC meeting", and optionally a Default type and Description.
  3. Click Create template.

The template opens, ready for its agenda items.

Add its agenda items

  1. Under Add an agenda item, type a Title, e.g. "Safety moment", and optionally the Agenda: what the item covers, before the meeting.
  2. Click Add item.

Items are used in the order listed. Use the up and down arrows to reorder them. Click Edit this item to change one and Save item, or Remove item to take it off.

Change or delete a template

  • Change the name, type or description and click Save template.
  • Click Delete template and confirm to delete it with its agenda items. Templates aren't kept in the recycle bin.

Changing or deleting a template doesn't change meetings already created from it.

Good to know

  • Template names must be unique: two templates on the same project, or in the workspace, can't have the same name.
  • To use a template, choose it under Start from when you create a meeting.
