Permission neededRFIs — Read (Admin to hide a comment)

Comments are for discussion around the question: "Which grid?", "Site visit booked for Tuesday". They're separate from responses, so they can never be marked official and aren't included in the RFI's PDF.

Add a comment

  1. Open the RFI. It must be Open or Closed.
  2. In the Comments card, type in Comment. Type @ to mention someone; they're told about it.
  3. Optionally, drag files into the box, or choose them.
  4. Click Comment.

The message Comment added. appears and your comment is at the top of the list. Everyone on the RFI is notified, except you. If the RFI had been passed to you, commenting ends the pass.

Comments can't be edited or deleted.

Hide a comment

RFI admins can hide a comment that shouldn't be there, for example one posted on the wrong RFI.

  1. Click Hide on the comment.
  2. Read the confirmation and click Hide comment.

Everyone else sees only Comment hidden by … with the date, and its files can no longer be opened. RFI admins can still read it under Hidden comments on the History tab. Hiding can't be undone.

If something goes wrong

  • "Write a comment or attach a file.": a comment needs words, a file, or both.
  • "A draft RFI has not been issued yet, so it cannot take comments.": the RFI hasn't been sent yet.
  • "A cancelled RFI cannot take comments. Reinstate it first."
