Use the tabs and totals

The tabs across the top of the list show All RFIs or one status at a time, with a count on each: Draft, Open, Closed and Cancelled. Your saved views follow them.

The four totals above the list always count every RFI on the project, whatever you've filtered:

Total What it counts
Outstanding Draft and Open RFIs, with how many have been raised in total.
Overdue Outstanding RFIs past their due date. Click it to filter the list to them.
Average turnaround The average days from raising an RFI to its official response.
Answered Closed RFIs, and what share of everything raised that is. Click it to see them.

Type in the search box and press Enter or click Apply. Search looks at the number, subject, message and every column currently shown. Click Clear to start again.

Filter

Status, Priority, Waiting on, Overdue and Assigned to are always in the filter row. Click one, tick the values you want, and the list updates when the menu closes.

For anything else, click + Add filter and choose from Responsible contractor, RFI manager, Received from, Location, Reason, Project stage, Specification, Drawings, Cost impact, Schedule impact, Requested, Due or Completed. Date filters let you choose is before, is after, is between, is blank or is not blank.

Combine filters with "and" and "or"

Click All filters to build more complex filters. Conditions in the same group must all match (and). Click Add group (or) to add another group; an RFI shows if it matches any group. Click Apply when you're done, or Clear all filters to start over.

Choose columns

Click Columns, tick the columns you want, and click Apply columns. # and Subject are always shown. Besides the defaults you can add RFI manager, Received from, Location, Project stage, Cost impact and Schedule impact. Reset to the default columns puts things back. To change their order, drag a column up or down in the list, or press ↑ or ↓ on its grip.

Some columns worth knowing:

  • Rev. is the RFI's current revision.
  • Assigned to is the first person on the RFI's To line.
  • Completed is the date of the official response, not the date the RFI was closed.
  • Days open counts until the official response.

Point at an RFI's subject to see its message.

Sort

Click a column heading to sort by it. Click again to reverse the order, and a third time to go back to the default: newest RFI first.

Overdue RFIs are tinted red, with a warning sign next to the due date.

Tip

StruXure remembers your columns and sort in this browser. To keep a set of filters too, and to get it back on any project, save it as a view.
