Choose which RFIs
The PDF report and the CSV export both take the RFIs you've ticked on the list. If none are ticked, they take every RFI the list is showing, with your current tab, filters, search and sort. To include everything, switch to the All tab and clear any filters first.
Make a PDF report
- On the RFI list, click PDF Report.
- Choose a Layout:
- Log: one row per RFI. This is the default.
- Detail: each RFI on its own page, with its question, response and attachments.
- For a detail report, choose Responses (Detail): Official response only (the answer, without the conversation) or All responses.
- Click Create PDF. It opens in a new tab, ready to print or save.
The log lists the number, revision, subject, status, priority, waiting on, requested, due and answered dates, days open, who it's assigned to, the responsible contractor, and the spec or drawing. A detail report also shows each RFI's details, question, responses, attachments and distribution.
A detail report can hold up to 100 RFIs. For more, tick the ones you want, or print the log.
Print one RFI
- Open the RFI.
- Click More at the top of the page.
- Click PDF — official response or PDF — all responses.
Export to a spreadsheet
Click Export CSV. A file called rfi-log-<project>-<date>.csv downloads. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.
The file always has the same columns, whatever you've shown on screen: number, revision, subject, message, status, waiting on, requested, due date, completed, days open, reason, project stage, specification, drawings, received from, assigned to, RFI manager, responsible contractor, priority, the cost and schedule questions and their details, and the current answer.
Private RFIs are only included for people who can see them.
