A Draft RFI isn't sent to anyone. It can't take responses or comments, and nobody is emailed about it. Send it when it's ready.
- Open the RFI. Drafts are on the Draft tab of the RFI list.
- Check the details and wording. You can edit the details and the To and CC lists in place. To change the Subject or Message, click Edit.
- Click Send at the top of the page.
The RFI becomes Open. Everyone on the Assignees (To) and Distribution list (CC) lines who has an email address in the directory is emailed, and it appears in their in-app inbox. The RFI's History records that it was issued.
Good to know
- Groups are expanded when you send. If a distribution group is on the To or CC line, everyone in it at that moment is emailed.
- People without an email address aren't emailed. They can still see the RFI in StruXure.
- Edit on a draft makes a revision. On a draft, Edit opens the same form as Create New Revision on a sent RFI, so the draft's number goes from #12.0 to #12.1. See Change the question with a new revision.
- To withdraw a draft instead of sending it, cancel it from the More menu. See Cancel, reopen or reinstate an RFI.
